This is a great book for someone who wants to know what actually happened in Benghazi that day. It does not include political bias, it does not say a whole lot about what was going on in the U.S.Government and it does not include a lot of details (if they are even available) about the attackers. It is a story about the operators and what they went through. Had a tough time putting the book down. Would recommend to anyone who wants to know the actual facts about what happened over there, not just what they talk about on TV….

    1. Those men that ran towards the danger are true hero’s!!!! God Bless them and their families, they are not paid enough and treated with respect for what they do. 2. This shows you once again that if you want something screwed up as much as possible, you put worthless waste of oxygen typical politicians in charge of it. A great book and I enjoyed it very much!!!!!!…

This was a riveting account of the Benghazi tragedy where an American ambassador, a Foreign Service information officer, and two military contractors died. There were many warnings that the situation in this city was grave, but the State Department didn’t send additional resources to protect the two compounds. The result was the killing of an ambassador for the first time since 1979. This book details the account of those brave men who attempted to help the residence and their fight at the CIA annex. It is a good read, and on par with Black Hawk Down. I have read one other account of this tragedy, and this is the better book.I think the author gives the blow by blow information about how this sacking of the residence occurred . It is sad that a believer in the Libyan people was killed. Ambassador Stevens was a true friend of the Libyan people, and his death shows the effects of terrorism in this vital region. This is a good informative book….

I have always wanted to know what really happened on 09/11-12/12. I have never read a book written by Mitchell Zuckoff, but I could not put this down. I don’t understand how this book didn’t put Hillary back on the hot seat. I understand it’s not the authors intention to say the Obama Administration was wrong, but after reading this…how can they sleep at night?Towards the end of the book I was listening to the soundtrack from the movie 13 Hours. A track titled “Forgotten” came on. With Zuckoff’s powerful writing and the score by Lorne Balfe…it was the best ending to a book I’ve ever read. I highly recommend this book!…
